I guess we all have our own ideas about how Santa should look, well for me this stamp from Rubber Stampede is more or less my "perfect santa", wrinkled and weather-beaten from riding that sleigh throught the night in the dead of winter, but with a twinkle in his eyes and the hint of magic surrounding him!
The image was stamped with Adirondack Dye Ink (Red Pepper) onto white card. I trimmed away all white edges from the image then mounted it onto red foiled card, layered that onto more white card that had been embossed through the Cuttlebug and then on to silver foiled card. I added just a little more sparkle with some stickles glitter and then applied the whole thing to some red card stock.
How gorgeous! I love how you trimmed him down and then the red foild and the embossed snowflakes are wonderful! Very elegant!
ReplyDeleteGreat card, love the Santa image.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Oooh this really makes me feel Christmassy! He really is a loveable Santa and I love the way you've used his image.

One of my favourite Santa stamps of all times and doesn't the Red Pepper work well with it? I think I may have to go dig mine out too Phree... I see visions of tags dancing in my head! But maybe I should finish the tree first?
ReplyDeleteHiya phree, sorry I've not left a comment on your blog for a bit, have myself another bad cold, which looks set to stay for xmas

Gorgeous Santa card. I've been given a couple of stamped images of this card but I've put them "somewhere safe" - drat!

I think this Santa stamp is great. It's not one I've seen before. You've made a lovely card with it.

I love this stamp as well, and a lot of my cards to friends were this one - it is so easy to use and very effective. Love the colours you have used.
