The challenge this week on Theme Thursday is to use the word "happy" or "happiness" in a project. For my project I used one of the tags we made at the Graphicus Glimmer Mist Workshop I went to recently and combined it with stamps from Elusive Images. The tag has been spritzed with 2 colours of glimmer mist over a Glimmer Screen, unfortunately the photo is not really showing the shimmer that well. The bird stamp is from the Let Your Heart Sing themeplate and the text is from the Words of Wisdom Themeplate. Both were stamped in black then heat embossed with clear detail EP.

Happy Challenge

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful tag. I am not familiar with glimmer mists but it sounds like mica powder in a liquid, like the moon glow products I love using for backgrounds. And speaking of backgrounds, I do love yours. The colors are gorgeous. Also love your stamps.

Oh gosh - um I don't quite think I will ever be another Sir Tim, and when I made the tag, let's face it Glenda was on hand to inspire us all to get stuck in with the Glimmer Mists and Screens and just play and have fun - which is what I did! When I got home clutching my lovely shimmery tags and and my new "birdie" stamps I saw that the branches in that stamp seemed to have the same sort curves as the Glimmer Screen - all I needed really was the catalyst of the "Happy" challenge to make me decide to use the "happy heart" text stamp along with that lil' bird who is singing his heart out.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest I wasn't impressed with the Glimmer screens when I saw them on the programme, but now that I've seen what you've done with them I have changed my mind. This is a lovely piece.
