The challenge this week on Daring Cardmakers is Feeling Green and challenges cardmakers to use lots of green on their card.
My card uses a stamp from Elusive Images and was stamped with Forest Green Stazon then painted with Twinkling H2O's. I edged the image with some lighter shades of green from a ColourBox Queue that has an assortment of green shades in it. I made a shimmery green background layer by blending a little more of the green inks onto some white card then spritzing with Glimmer Mists in green and yellow. The Snowdrop word stamp is from the same Snowdrop Script themeplate as the flower image and was stamped in green pigment ink then heat embossed using a clear pearl Cosmic Shimmer EP that has a green mica sparkle to it once heat set.
Lovely card Phree and very apt today, I think, because it certainly felt Springlike when I was out walking the dog.

ReplyDeleteOoh, Phree, that's lovely. What a fresh looking card. Those stamps give such a gorgeous crisp image, don't they. Is the white of the flowers H2O too?
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, yes the white is from a Twinkling H2O kit. It's actually from the kit where all the paints are a sort of off white but have an interference colour. This particular paint is the odd one out in that kit as it does not have any interference effect - it's simply looks slightly off white - the colour is called Oyster
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops are among my very favorite flowers so you know I love this card. Beatiful job!
ReplyDeleteLove the coolness of these beautiful cards Phree & thanks for the lovely comments you left over on my blog xxxx
